I'm sure there are lots of old aluminum frames riding around that have been well taken care of and last for years.

Build it with the parts lying around. Good response and handling.

UPDATE: Unfortunately theres not much riding going on here... sooooo I cleaned up my bike and put a new bottle cage and some new tires on it. :)
Then I took it for a night ride where I flatted the new front tire (hopefully that won't happen anymore). Can't wait for spring. http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...y/DSC01626.jpg http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...y/DSC01631.jpg |

Haha, that thing is badass. Reminds me of a bike I saw this weekend. Someone had taken some car tires (for serious), welded up a steel tubing frame, and threw on a bicycle drive train. He was riding it around town, and at stoplights he'd just hit the brakes and sit on the bike. Stepping down is not necessary since the tires are so wide...pretty hilarious to see. |

Oh hell yes. Durable enough for me and my no-big hucker DH riding, at least. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...s/IMG_7267.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1.../IMG_7028a.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...s/IMG_7269.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...s/IMG_7265.jpg |
