1996ish Jim Moulden 853 custom... did a quick build on the frame and fork I was given to do some test rides and have a 21 pound SS.
http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikepics/mouldenmtb1.JPG Will be giving it some fresh powder, will replace the rear brake mounts, and have new decals coming as Jim was a local builder who retired some years ago. The last mtb frame he built is still hanging at the shop he founded... think they might be keeping it. |
^ it looks pretty good without decals man

Strange, I hated mine.

Took it for the first ride with the XT stuff the other day. Still needed a bit of fine tuning, but I am very happy with my upgrades :D

Rocky Mountain Element Race Snagged it off craigslist. I just need to put my other saddle on it when i get home but I got a pro tune up and some pretty sweet cables put on it from my LBS. Like a Dream it ride. |

This is 'Hop' before she got her reflectors removed. She took 2nd in her first race - a MTB TT event missing first by 5 seconds despite a crash. I think we're going to be good, good friends. Sorry Hop, I will apologize now for what I am going to do to you. You're going to live a life of abuse.

My new 2011 Scott Spark 30. Picked it up this past Monday. Finally got to ride this Saturday. I kept to the paved trials around where I live. I wanted to do a shake down run and make sure everything was OK. I really love the lock out on this bike. Definitely the best of both worlds. Nice and plush wide open and firm and responsive lock in. A couple more "easy rides" and hopefully by then the trails will have dried up some. Really looking forward to that.

Raleigh Mojave 2.0

This is my Raleigh Mojave. My roommate recently gave me this bike for free and naturally i took it apart and rebuilt it into my winter/ entry level mountain bike. I have never owned a mountain bike before so this is very exciting for me. It is all stock with an exception to the rear tire and the rear wheel.
Attachment 172399 Feel free to visit my cycling blog, http://lovetocycle.wordpress.com/201...winter-riding/ to read more about my new mountain bike! |

Did you buy your crosscheck stock? if so do you notice is flexing under braking using those brakes? I'm looking for a better braking solution.
