2002 Trek 6700
I posted this once awhile ago but I've made quite a few changes to it since then. The bike was heavily used when I bought it and the only things that are now stock are the frame, fork, and headset.

Word. Why have we never seen pictures of it when it is dirty? Or are you a spray down right after the ride hotshot?
Ya, it pretty much gets hosed down after every ride. Then the rail-and-car get cleaned and re-greased. Religiously. |

I think he's referring to it being all black, which it isn't fwiw. So in reality, it's not murdered out.

Well done! This is a clinic on how to properly run cable! Well, I like it anyway.

. . . (since we're apparently doing this by committee)
Funny thing about the rollers - - got them on a closeout from Yeti then couldn't bear to put them on for fear of losing one after spending more than I should have. So I figured I would just do one (the lower actually, so there), so that if it came loose and I lost it, I'd still have a spare. |
1998 Klein Mantra (Koi Blue)
Here is my bike....an oldie and not ridden much since I went "tandem" but have never been able to part with it!

definitely basic, but it definitely gets the job done! |
Thanks trout, I spent a bit of time fitting the cable housing and then removing it and trimming it to get it to the right length. Now I have a template for next time.

2010 Trek 4500
I haven't really done much to it except ride it. I would like to upgrade to a 29er but will probably kept this one. This is my first mountain bike and I spend most of my time on my road bike.

Today I did my third different ride on my SS mtb. And failed miserably, too steep, pushed the bike a lot. So I went home and put gears on it :o. SS just isn't the right tool for the job on the trails around here.

This is my baby, a SS Ogre. Pieced together from my winter bike and the ruins of my road bike. Love it. It's got a rack and fenders for running around town. |
Singular Gryphon

Here are a few shots of my Singular Gryphon in singletrack mode. This also my commuter, with a quick change to 50mm slicks, fenders, rear rack, dynamo front wheel and Supernova lighting. I went out for a ride on the Salt Lake City portion of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. It felt good to blow some of the winter cobwebs out. My daily Winter commute kept be in decent shape, but I haven't seen steep climbs in over 9 months.
That's a Nuvinci N360 IGH out back. I LOVE it! No chain suck, plenty of gear range, super smooth, and word has it they are damn near bulletproof. I built the rear wheel with a Salsa Gordo rim (front as well) to really spread the casing. Two singletrack rides so far, and I'm really liking how this bike performs. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=245535 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=245536 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=245537 |

Sweet Niner, though not a bike I'd associate with a "fred". LOL
