Should i upgrade my entry level?

Hey guys! i just bartered with my co-worker and now own his Raleigh mojave 2.0. its an old entry level bike i think retailed around $300. Ive been taking it to trails twice a week and riding around town twice a week and love the feel. Ive been giving it a pretty good beating on the trails and all the components seem kosher (still cheaper parts though). Was wondering it would be beneficial to upgrade parts here and there?

heres a link to the model i have.

not sure if the components changed for newer years but this is the model i have,
Thanks!

are you racing? does your income or livelihood rely on the performance of your bicycle? if not, and if everything is working good for you, and you are happy, i don't see a need to upgrade. if you aren't happy with your shifting, maybe upgrade shifting parts. if you want better stopping power, maybe upgrade your brakes. upgrade the parts you want better performance out of. or, when something breaks, buy a better version of the one you had. if you really want to spend money on your bicycle, get new cables, then upgrade tires, then upgrade your drive train.

Thanks for the info!
Im just single track riding for fun 2x/week. one state park the has a 7 mile novice trail and a 12.5 mile intermediate trail, also a privately owned (but open specifically to mtbikers) chunk of land that is 5 miles, intense as hell for me, but i still push through it. I would like to get more experienced in bicycle maintenance/repair so i figure i would do exactly like you suggested and upgrade as needed. I just wanted to make sure it wasnt a complete waste upgrading on this particular bike. It does have a comfy/stable feel but then again im a beginner...
