I'll stick with my Mental Mags. 427g (just under the 420s) and unbelieveably tough. Smashed them on any number of rocks with the low Blindside and all it ever did was scuff the powder coating.

dminor - don't laugh, I rode to work in Crocks just the other day, on the flats...but with out a doubt, it sucked.

My assumption was that clipless gave the best advantage to any rider (regardless of ability) to handle the obstacles & terrain. It really isn't that simple though. More than half of the responses are platform- preferred riders.

dminor's last thought about quality is apt, I don't mind saying that the wellgo flats let my feet slide around so either I upgrade my flats or try one of the clipless brands suggested.
