What an awsome, epic ride. We did a 22 mile out and back that took about 4 hours. The terrain was steep and moderately technical. The dirt was just moist enough to be grippy, but not muddy. The seasons first now had fallen the night before. We arrived at the trailhead at 10:45 and were off by 11:00. The air was cool and moist, but the sun was bright and warm when it came out. The temperature at the trailhead at 5300 feet was about 40 F, but it got colder as we followed the ridge trail up. some pics...

It was fun, but I think I could only handle this one a few times a month. It was quite taxing on the body.
