Sounds like a great series of trips! I`m currently so overloaded that it won`t be till later in the summer that I have any free time to travel at all myself!
I`m impressed that you`re managing this on a singlespeed setup. How are you set up to handle reasonable speeds on the paved roads and still gear low enough for hills and trails? I`m guessing you have at least a reversable rear wheel with two different cogs?

i run 33X20 or equal 32X19 set up...on the road a tad spun out.but works great on the trails esp on climbs. no reversable wheell and singlecog.
thanks
