31.8 seatpost size

I bought a 31.8 Thomson Elite seatpost on craigslist without realizing it was 31.8 and not 31.6. Thomson doesn't even make this size anymore Of course now I am stuck with a weird seatpost that I will never use and will probably find it difficult to unload, but I am curious as to what bikes use this size..? I figure it's gotta be some kind of MTB.

Note: I'm not in anyway a mountain biker.

I have a stupid 31.8 post too. Mine came off of a Trek. I think it was ~2000 or so Trek 8000 or something like that. Can't quite remember. But yeah, I've tried to CL the thing and never a single bit of interest. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

Curse my ignorance. Perhaps ebay would be the best route.
