Bike brand

What brand is your bike? I am wanting to find out which bikes are very popular and are not good.

phantomcow2 12-13-04 07:15 PM

my view is you cant beat a custom :).

J-McKech 12-13-04 07:17 PM

You shouldn't go based on popularity. You should go based on what feels good to you. If everyone based their purchase on popularity, then hell we'd all be riding huffy's and treks.

Hopper 12-13-04 07:46 PM

I ride a MongoosePro DH, yay common X-mart bikes. I also have an Avanti and used to have a Specialized Bighit.

Specialized Hardrock Pro... and yeah, don't buy something because it's popular.. buy something because YOU like the way it rides. Who cares what everyone else thinks of your bike.

anthonaut 12-14-04 02:17 AM

This thread is going to be huge because it is one that almost everyone on the forum can answer :p. Just look at Post Your Rigs to see what everyone here has.

You have a bike. go to "Post Your Rigs" to see what the other members have.

KrisPistofferson 12-14-04 03:54 AM

1987 Schwinn Le Tour , cost a little over $100 for the bike including updating derailleurs, saddle and paint job. If you don't mind older design aesthetics, reconditioning an old bike can result in a quality ride and be quite a conversation piece. I got it decked out like a "poor man's Atlantis" and it rides like a dream!

hardinge915 12-14-04 03:59 AM

2005 mongoose thunderball.

Juniper 12-14-04 08:53 AM

I ride a Kona. The best bike for you is the one that is built for the type of riding you plan to do and is the right size.

Dannihilator 12-14-04 01:54 PM
