Mtb for urban playground / trial
I would like to buy a bike that will allow me to start learning urban jumping (from/on steps, curbs, manuals, riding backwards etc). Now, I know fixed dirt jump bike with alloy frame is one of best choice for this, but the problem is I would also like to do trial/commute sometimes too. Are there bikes that mixes these two activities? If not, is fixed dirt jump bike capable of being useful in commuting?
I was thinking about this bike: https://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/st...Id_212589#tab2
It is supposed to be good mixture of durability and speed, but I know on regular mtb such this one, I will not be able to ride backwards on flat, also my movement will be restricted by bigger frame and wheels, also alluminum frame can snap on bigger jump. Is this bike good for starters?
I have also eye on https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Custom-Build-...item2a1e6414c0 , is it good bike for this price?

Bikes: Fisher Opie freeride/urban assault MTB, Redline Monocog 29er MTB, Serrota T-Max Commuter, Klein Rascal SS, Salsa Campion Road bike, Pake Rum Runner FG/SS Road bike, Cannondale Synapse Road bike, Santana Arriva Road Tandem, and others....
I have a 13" Fisher Opie that was built for just what you are describing and I love it. This bike is my "freeride/urban assault" bike that I rely on to "do it all" and it doubles as my winter bike as well. A compound seatpost is definitely an advantage because the seat can be dropped to the rear tire or extended to give full extension for normal use. To be honest, if I had to get rid of all but one of my bikes, this is the one I would keep.

You don't want fixed. You may or may not want SS (less stuff to break jumping and you don't need gears for jumping anyway, but depending on your commute, gears are nice), but you definitely don't want fixed. The riding backwards you see BMX guys doing isn't them riding fixed...it's them having backwards momentum after doing a spin trick that lands them that way and then pedaling backwards because they don't have a freecoaster. I think your best bet to handle all of that will probably be a short travel AMHT frame that you can raise the saddle on, maybe a 1x9. Some compromises on both sides, but can't have everything.
As far as the eBay bike, it'd be a great bike for jumping and it would work fine for trials, but it depends on the commute. I have a 24" DJ and it suuucks for commuting more than like, 2 miles. I also don't like it as a trail bike, but it doesn't look like you care much about that.

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.
I would look to something along the lines of a couple of machines that were specifically built with 'rideable-but-burly-play-bike' in mind: Santa Cruz Chameleon or the Transition Vagrant.

Bikes you gave me are either too expensive for my pocket or reviews aren't that good for urban (vagrant). I was looking on some bikes here and there and my options would be ns/ns2 holy. Also, can someone give me opinion about this bike from halfords? Reviews are really good, but I don't know if such bike would be good for some urban jumping.
here's ns I am interested

https://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/pr...Inch_2012_Bike
Also with gears

Can someone give me directions to shop with good variety, also with ability to ship to Ireland? I really don't know where to begin looking. I need 5-9 gear bike that will allow me to ride for fun, jump whenever I please etc.

Need opinion guys
I am looking for dj/street bike, preferably with gears, but it's not that important. Here is what I lurked for my budget:
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=48317 - Is it really good deal? (price drop from 999pounds)
https://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/st...egoryId_212581 - little on heavy side (almost 17kg), but if specs are good then it's not that big issue
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=68233 - NS bike, so no gears. Weight is great though, also as far as I read these come with good frame
All above have chromoly frame, which is I believe better choice than alu when it comes to street (I can be wrong). If not, I found some interesting bikes with alu:

https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=82135
I would not make this thread, but can't find any reviews/opinions on most of them. Please help me with my choice, This is lot of money for me and I don't want to be stuck with junk.

May I recommend a DMR drone at that price range?
