Value of 2004 Kona Caldera

I need to sell my Kona MTB to make room for a commuter bike.

What's a reasonable price for a 2004 Kona Caldera 20" frame stock in good condition? I'm planning to sell on Craigslist.

Thanks!

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

About half of what you paid for it max.

Thanks for your help. Is that the general rule of thumb? I'm kind of a novice and having a hard time figuring out how much used bikes are worth. I'm unloading this one to buy another used bike.

I hope you have a good mountain bike in your keeping. Never give up a Mountain Bike, everyone should start with a good MTB and then build around it.

Ohh, I would love to keep it but apartments in Boston are tiny and I just don't have room from 3 bikes. I'll probably regret selling it in like 2 weeks, but such is life.

It's kind of a general rule-of-thumb for anything late-model used (which I personally would class your Caldera as, although others might differ from that opinion). Bikes run notoriously to the low side, though (but, again, that depends largely on your area market); but it's a good starting point. You can at least start there and adjust if you get little or no responses.

If you flip those bar ends around, it will look a lot better to anyone looking to buy. The end was meant to curve toward the rider, not away. I would list it for $600 but settle for as little as $400, depending on how desperate you are to sell.
