I have an older mid 90s Trek Single Track 930 frame with STX components.
I am thinking about buying a 2004 Jamis Dakota XC.
Both of these bikes have steel frames. The Trek has a tripple-butted CrMo TruTemper frame made in the USA. The Jamis has a Reynolds 631 air-hardened steel frame made in Taiwan.
Would you take the components off the Jamis and put them on the Trek frame? Which is the better steel frame?
