29er hardtail geometry
Hi guys,
I originally started my bike search looking for a dual sport, however after mingling with some fellow posters in the hybrid forum they convinced me to look at a hartdtail 29er.
I now have a chance to get a great deal on a close-out model that not many talk about, a 2012 KHS Tempe (https://khsbicycles.com/bikes/2012-khs-models/tempe/, this bike can be had for $600. The components appear decent for that price and like many, there’s always the possibility of future upgrades.
My main concern is the geometry, I have not ridden this bike because it’s a bit of a drive to this LBS and although I’m willing to drive there I wanted to make sure that I didn’t waste my time.
I’m no expert in 29er geometry but I have tried a few other bikes from Trek, Giant and Specialized and none of them have seat tube angle and head tube angles like this KHS.
So my question is, what does having a head tube angle of 72 degree and seat tube angle of 75 degree mean?
How can I expect this bike to ride?
Thanks for any feedback!
