Now this is a deal for those looking for a 26er.

I know 26ers seem to be going out of style but I already have a rigid fork 29er and wanted a full suspension rig. Backcountry is closing out the 2012 BMC full suspension 26ers and they have started to pop at chainlove so scored the following for a whopping $875 brand new.

BMC Speedfox 02 SLX-XT

I missed the chainlove deal but I just did online chat with backcountry and they gave it to me for that price anyway.

That is a huge dealon a FS BMC! Good bike!

I've been watching these pop up all week and kicking myself for rushing into something last fall. Oh well, I like my bike so no complaints.

No, I bought a cannondale scalpel at an end of season sale last year. It's fine and I received a decent deal on it, but nothing like these popping up on chainlove.

Quite a steal. Sexy looking bike, too. Did you get cashback from Backcountry? That would've sweetened the deal even more.

Unfortunately no because the transaction was done via chat. I did the math and if I bought it from backcountry at their regular price with the cashback the chainlove deal was still $50 cheaper.

Nice score! I like 29ers, but I've never found a 29er full suspension that I cared for--too long and heavy. I enjoy the small wheels more on a FS bike, where the suspension action makes up for the stability lost due to the small wheels.

Scalpel is a great bike for AZ.

Scalpel is a fine bike in general. We all do the "grass is always greener" thing, but you like your bike, and most likely you bought it because it fit you and rode well for you. Don't have buyer's remorse because of a bike that may potentially not fit and ride as well.

Got it in today and just finished putting it together and tuning it. It also came with a few extra goodies like a pair of tail and head lights. It is a lot lighter than I thought it was going to be as well. Still have to mess with the saddle height.

I should say, I'm not complaining at all. I like my bike quite a bit. Need to take it out again, I've been slacking on my dirt riding as of late.

Looking at what you paid for that bike, it's like you bought a new Fox Fork and they threw in the rest of the bike. That's a really outstanding deal.

Have taken this baby out twice and I love it! Crazy how nimble the 26er rides compared to a 29er. Went to spots where they do XC and enduro racing in the summer and it was so much fun. I think I definitely prefer the smaller wheelsize.

Just bought this off chainlove as well but the price had jumped up to $999. Stripping the parts to put on a Santa Cruz Juli for my fiancé. Told her we should get this when it was coming up for 875 and they had it in small. Instead we ordered last week and got an xl as that is all that was left

I got a carbon four stroke with all xt for $1840 shipped. Loving it so far. Only 24.7 lbs with the pedals and cage. I did have to switch to a longer stem and cut about 6 inches off the handlebars.
