Niner MCR 9

There is a Niner MCR 9 on eBay with a small dent in the top tube (see attached eBay listing). Will this dent compromise the integrity of the steel frame? It otherwise looks like a nice bike.

I'd steer clear. That's a pretty substantial dent. On its way to a crease.

meh looks pretty minor to me. If it were a medium I'd be tempted to buy it at that price. Has a lot of good parts on it.

Bikes: 8 ss bikes, 1 5-speed touring bike

i've ridden years on a steel frame with a dent just like that one. take a good look at a few chainstays on bikes if you want to see intentional dents much more severe than that little one.

IMO, it's insignificant, but aesthetically it would drive me crazy.
