I dunno what happened with the ride... I was at the designated meet point on time... nobody else showed.

I ended up doing about 45 miles on my own... a good portion of it single track up on South Table Mesa. Climbed up to Castle Rock (Carried my bike up! ) and had a good break with some awesome views.

You are gonna have to show me around some of your loops you do... Just don't mind if I slow you down some... You always have great stories!

I don't really have any designated loops... if I do a planned ride, it's because I'm riding with someone else. If I'm out by myself I just go wherever my bike ends up pointing.

There are TONS of places to ride around the Denver area. Lookout Mountain/Lariat Loop is a good ride. I like the part where you ride along I-70 on the shoulder. Fun stuff!

As far as slowing me down... I don't think I'm all that fast... more like the energizer bunny... I just keep going and going and going.

That's a good thing, though, with the rides I've got planned for this summer.

Dunno what kind of distance you've been doing, but lemme know when you want to ride, we'll work something out!

I'm currently riding with 3 clubs plus the bike forums group when they have stuff scheduled, so I can find a ride pretty much any time... my biggest issue is getting to the rides, as I don't have a vehicle.

I've got a pretty epic-sounding ride scheduled for the 29th, out of Fort Collins. 62 miles, 4,000 feet or more of climbing. Should be a good challenge.

Glad it's not broke, man. Heal up fast!

See ya out there on the road.

Sorry BM. I rode a hard ride on Saturday. Morrison thru Evergreen and decided to take Sunday off. I don't have internet at home right now so I couldn't tell anyone.

Anyhoo sounds like you did fine on your own.

Just got my first roadie, looking for someone to make me look and feel foolish...and I like long walks on the beach.

When is the Cherry Creek trail going to be completely accessable again? It's really annoying to end up riding on speer for half that distance.

oOOOOOo! I have purchased a regular roadie as well. My other bike is a touring bike.
What did you get? Mine is a 06 Tarmac Expert.

I already look and feel like a fool.
As for cherry creek, who knows. I am tired of it as well. I may start taking D11 up to the platte. I just feel like I may be mugged in north denver.
I would join up provided that I have some time. I do not know what my weekend will look like yet.

Bah. My wife and I rode Cherry Creek trail last Sunday. The water just adds a little excitement! Oh... and don't forget to drain the water out of your bottom bracket after the ride.

I've got to get a good trail map for the whole metro. Screw you and your tarmac (i got an allez comp)! While I was in the shop on sunday the guy checking out before me bought a brand new tarmac, not sure about anything else on the bike.

I like riding the few miles around REI downtown, seems to be a lot of good conversation there when you stop ridign.

I will generally be leaving work at 0600 every AM and picking up either washington or the platte and heading back downtown... does that coincide with any of yoru commute? I'd be heading out of capitol hill at around 1730 to get to Thornton at night.

I am a bit earlier than 6 am. I tend to leave at 5 am. One of these days I should go into work later.

Strange, I purchased my bike last Sunday at the Bicycle Village in Westminster.

That had to be you then, that's where I was. I was in the big white diesel pickup and had a TabletPC with me in the store. I bought a white 06 Allez Comp, and I believe your Tarmac was red???? I was in there mid afternoon.

Were you the guy wearing the oscar the grouch cycling jersey?

Yup. That was me. Red and white tarmac.
What a small world. I should have said hi.
I remember you and your bike....strangely enough. My memory is fairly horrible.

I was looking at an allez as well. Unfortunately, I test rode the tarmac after my wife forced me to.
Good woman.

They were trying to have me come back for the fitting later in the week. After what I spent I requested it be done on the spot. Took me almost 3 hrs to finish up.

Hey now, I should have said hi... You cant be seen starting a conversation with us 105/Allez guys now can you? haha. That was one sweet jersey.you had on.

That place price matched what my cousin's shop 1000 miles away was going to sell me the bike for. Good stuff and nice bike you got! Where do you work/leave your bike again?

My wife and kid gave that jerser to me for my birthday. Yet another incentive to loose more weight. Freaking thing sits on me weird. Still, I love it. I want cookie monster next.

I leave my bike in my work's cafe in DTC and it is never more than a 1000 feet away from me. It is not a bike to lock up outside. Heck, I would have a problem locking your bike up outside. Allez comps are nice as well.

Now that we're best friends and all, lets get matching jerseys and commute together daily. Haha. I was lazy yesterday and took the 120 back to downtown and rode home from there.

I have a new bike. Nothing else much. Just a bit wet.

I may be able to ride next Saturday. Will check with the wife.

Oh and Jorpe and I were in the same store purchasing new road bikes at the exact same time. We discovered it on the forum the next day. Weird.
