Anyone else doing D2R2 tomorrow? D2R2 | Franklin Land Trust
I'm looking for a ride back to the Boston or North Shore area after the ride on Saturday, if anyone's planning on it or knows any friends who might have space in their car for one human. (They don't need to have space for a bike, because my friends going back on Sunday could take my bike.)
Also, know anyone who is still waffling about coming on the ride, or planning to buy a $180 day-of ticket? I have an extra $100 early-bird-priced ticket (that's signed up for the 125K mystery but could be used for any other ride if desired!), with camping pass too, that my friend can't use. Would love to get $100 for it but honestly would take anything!
My phone number is six wun sevvin sevvin ate oh fyve wun tree ate -- even if you can't offer a ride and don't want the ticket, I'd be psyched to meet up with people to ride with or just have a beer with.
I did the 100k the past two years. It is a great ride. Last year I was signed up for the 125K Mystery route but punted to the 100K because none of my friends wanted to do the mystery ride with me. This year I am thinking I may do the 125K alone and make some new friends.

I am of no help, but just wanted to say enjoy it, and hopefully mud/rain won't ruin it.
I'm not doing it this year due to surgery recovery & other plans, but it's a lovely ride and would love to do again in the future.

I have done the 100K twice. Great event, but hard. My LHT was not the right bike for the ride (very heavy), but I managed. I was a four-year Deerfield Academy boy ('79-'83), so returning to the town was like a homecoming. Stopped there in June of this year for two nights during a self-contained tour from St. Albans, VT to Philly. Attended my 35th reunion.

How was the D2R2 this year? I was considering it (I also have a Surly Disc Trucker I use for my gravel bike) but the weather forecast looked dicey with a chance of thunderstorms. So ... I passed but was curious how it turned out.
