Americas most beautiful bike ride.

I completed the 72 mile ride around Lake Tahoe yesterday and it was awesome. Got done in 5 hours 2 minutes. I can't wait to do it again next year. If you ever get the chance to do this ride I would highly recommend it. Lots of support and a very friendly group.

Is it a specific organized ride or just something you did?

I'm sure it was gorgeous, that's a beautiful part of the world.

It was put on by bikethewest.com. Had around 3500 people turn out.

how was the weather? Great ride I did it last year....a packed ride for sure...well supported I liked the lunch stop last year over looking the beach......not a hard ride either..... If people are interested it usually sells out fast.....register early.

Happy Riding!

Congratulations on the Tahoe ride.

I did the ride as well and it could not have been a better day for it. I was a little cold at the start but I was fine by the time we hit Emerald Bay and at Truckee I lost the windbreaker. The support was great and everyone was courteous on the road. The well-wishers on the route were great with their cow bells and there was even an Alpenhorn near the Kings Beach rest stop.

I will definitely be back for this one again next year.
