How's the leg healing?

pgoat 11-07-08 06:13 AM

she's walking ok (Has it wrapped with ace bandage, no cast) but it's still tender....she's mostly afraid of whacking it on the crank at this point...

jyossarian 11-07-08 08:29 AM

Wish I could make it. Have fun everyone!

Air 11-07-08 08:48 AM

Miss ya j!!

pgoat 11-07-08 08:59 AM

Next Time, JYo....tho sadly, it prolly won't be 60 degrees in Dec!

then again, with global warming......;)

roadiejorge 11-07-08 09:05 AM

so are there any impromtu hammerfests on this ride or is it strictly a casual ride?

Air 11-07-08 09:33 AM

All casual, at one point the average touches 16mph for about a mile, rest is usually below 12.

pgoat 11-07-08 09:48 AM

I am thinking the turnout might be as good as last month, being the weather is what it is.

Air 11-07-08 09:51 AM

Think so, especially since it's been raining what feels like all week.

It's so casual I could keep up w/ the ride on a recalcitrant donkey.

And I even remembered to start my headlight recharging this morning. Life is perfect.

pgoat 11-07-08 07:46 PM

thanks for the reminder:D

Air 11-08-08 12:12 AM

Fun night - great meeting you ddac!

noteon 11-08-08 12:21 AM

I uploaded a couple of grainy realtime cell phone pics to my facebook page while we were riding. PM me if you're on facebook and want to see.

Air 11-08-08 08:44 AM

You too ddac!

It's is in the NW corner, the one with the rock outcropping right? It's called the Great Hill or Harlem Hill.

That hill is steeper than PP though :)

I'm posting this here even though it's not about the rides because you're the guys I see sometimes.

Does anyone have a messenger bag I can borrow for a week? I'm writing a character who uses one, so I want to spend a few days seeing what it's like, but I don't want to spend money on something I'm not going to keep.

Any of you guys out riding today? I have to decide within half an hour whether to try riding up the greenway or take the subway...

roadiejorge 12-19-08 01:49 PM

I rode early this morning, and after having coming back from outside I'll just say be really careful out there. I don't know how regularly they clean the greenway so it might have a nice layer of snow by now.

Did you get home ok or did the St. Bernards have to launch an emergency extraction?

And for the record, the plowing stops at the Little Red Lighthouse.

Air 12-20-08 10:09 AM

Just got the official word, the ride tomorrow is postponed till next Sunday, the 28th. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I can make it...actually 99% sure I can't :(
