Anyone planning on riding Central Park tonight? (Thursday 3/29/07, 6:30PM-ish)

My regular Thursday night laps partner bagged out at the last minute; some crap about "I already rode 18 miles this morning and my legs are shot." Oh, boo-hoo! Panty-waist... Heck, I've already got 35 miles on for today, just hoping to tack on 2 or 3 laps tonight to make it an even 50 by the time I get home. (That way I can justify tearing into the Stone Brewing IPA that's waiting for me in the fridge.)

I'll be the guy on a black Cannondale Synapse with a huge fanny pack dangling off my azz. Say "Hi Bob!" if you're out.

I finished the move this past sunday. With a sprained ankle. Grand times. On the mend though, I'm hoping to do the Prospect ride next Saturday. I'll let you and jyo know when my roomie and I throw our housewarming party, THEN you can empty out my fridge.

as i mentioned in the road forum. i was on northern blvd where it turns into jackson ave by the 59th street bridge going through a patchy construction area. some d!ck was going down queens blvd. i was turning left onto queens blvd. he came flying in, saw me, turned but slid on the gravel and his shoulder clipped my shoulder. since my feet were in the pedal straps (i'm still new to that), i didn't have time to pull them out and keep myself up. i went down like a sorry fool and scratched up the gear shifter/brake combo cover and punctured a pinsize hole in my seat. thankfully, the frame is still clean. i was already looking at getting a new seat anyway and as for the gear covers, just looking at them pisses me off.

Fellow Brooklynite here.

I usually ride from Fort Green to the GW Bridge (along the West Side Highway) and back on the weekends. The route is getting boring, would love to ride with others.

Looking to upgrade from my Lemond Poprod to a Raleigh Supercourse. Been wanting to get off the cyclocross bike ever since I tried taking those hills in NJ during the MS Bike Tour. Any shops recommended in the NY, NJ area? I was thinking of purchasing the Supercourse from Roy's Sheepshead Cycles. I bought my roommate's mountain bike from there. Looking for shops willing to bargain...

Obviously, I'm from Brooklyn.

I ride in PP or up the WSHighway at times, as well. Thinking of which, I got a Forester last summer and should do a few one-day excursions out of town for some rides this summer. I have a bike rack as well, that may still fit a wagon. Hmmm where to go? Any takers?
