Suspicions that this thread about greater DC was started in the wrong subforum appear to be confirmed by the results of recent polls. Should this thread be moved to the NE? I can't decide if I want it moved. What are your thoughts?

Well with my one good eye and lack of depth perception, I'd be the first to ride smack into that wall!
I don't care where the durn thread is. I guess since they put DC in NE, then we should move to NE, too. The newcomers will be confused ifn we don't. You, not we.

Will you come visit us in the NE? Comments from Crackers who know about Edward Hopper is why I keep this thread going.
I guess I'm a little burned out on the picture taking, I didn't shoot anyone today. I see a cute rider but feel like a stalker and it's almost like she breathes a sigh of relief when I don't pull my weapon out of it's harness. How did she know? Anyway we smile at each other and nod, so I have that memory instead of a photo of her scowling that I could share with you all. Actually I almost never post the scowls. I understand some people do not like having their picture taken.
Done asking for feedback, I will suggest this thread be moved to NE. Asking was probably only a cheap ploy to get more people to add posts to the thread anyway.
I don't own it, but I started it and I made most of the posts so I assume the mods will move the thread based on my suggestion. Tom Scowcraft has decided to put DC in the northeast section for the time being based on popular demand. Even more popular was the idea of creating a mid-atlantic regional section. Having all the threads about DC in the same place should help the cause for starting a mid-atlantic forum.
Moving on up to the north side.
Y'all come see us now!

I have a few from last weekend.
Even though I was getting over a cold and missed Bike DC, I didn't miss getting a ride in.
Bike DC, end of the festival in Crystal City / Bike Museum on Wheels / BMoW
Old Town garden plot / Wilson Bridge / Oxon Hill Road
St E's, gate no. 1 / Navy Yard / Washington Monument
Monument rules

Doesn't the sign at the Washington Monument contain a double negative, making all those things mandatory?

On Saturday I did my annual end-to-end ride of the Rock Creek Trail.
Arlington, Georgetown, CCT, North Bethesda Trail, Beach and RCT to Lake Needwood. Then RCT and Beach back to Georgetown.
I was also tracking down labyrinths. Found 2 of the 3 I was searching for.
Key Bridge / Labyrinth in Georgetown / C&O canal at Fletcher's Cove
View from bike bridge over Beltway / Labyrinth in Bethesda / Lake Needwood
Mount Zion Cemetery / C&O canal in Georgetown / C&O lock no.3

Glad you found us! I'm sorry I haven't come up with anything very interesting lately. I thought a picture of a guy riding with an umbrella would be a winner and so did he, pumping the umbrella up and down for the camera and grinning ear to ear. Yeah, his arm is obscuring his face, but I got the car behind him in good focus.
Frequent winner of DC alleycat races. He rides in flip flops. Yeah, I didn't get his feet in the shot. Well, I got part of one of them...

Does he race in those flip-flops?
You pegged his face with the pan, but I wonder is he taking notes as he rides?

Oh no, he races in shoes. I believe he's also one of the top local bicycle polo players. Taking notes? Haha, he carried his pen in his mouth for years, not sure if he still does that. If he sees this I hope he doesn't resent me pointing out his quirky ways. When he saw me today, he sat up and pantomimed taking a picture. We were traveling in opposite directions on the same one way street. He's a soccer player too, always rides in soccer jerseys, today he was in the Argentine national team colors.

I hope no one took my advice and tried to join the MBT commuter convoy this morning. It was cancelled.
I left home a couple hours earlier than usual and added a bunch of miles to my commute by riding up Sligo Creek to Takoma Park. I missed the start time and was beginning the chase when I got a text message that the ride had been cancelled. My fault for signing up at the last minute. I had a nice ride anyway. The route is well marked. Although I'm easily distracted, I managed to successfully follow the little MBT signs that mark the route.
On the way home around 6pm, I spotted this large group riding inbounds on RI Ave. NE near the Maryland line. It seemed odd, but in a good way.
Bicycle goings on around town this weekend.
Meet the Met Branch Trail party tomorrow.

Cirque du Cyclisme, an antique and custom bike show and swap in Leesburg, VA. I think any bicycle enthusiast would find this worth checking out, especially those with an interest in the history and the art of the bicycle.

Loudoun County Fairgrounds. A long way from K Street, but I rode a few blocks of K on the way home.

Unhappy about missing the MBT party due to flat tire. Had also planned to go around to some of the museums on the Dupont-Kalorama open house.
Consolation ride was Sunday. Given the hot weather, I took the C&O to Widewater, then MacArthur to Glen Echo for the Folk Festival. I had also planned to ride around Arlington for the Green Home tour, but with the storm front moving in I decided to wrap up the ride and drive to some of them. Turned out to be a wise choice.
Some pictures from Sunday
C&O 9 mile stone / Widewater (imo the prettiest spot on the C&O) / green bike (Art Car)
Art Car (Glen Echo parking lot) / Glen Echo / Spanish Ballroom (one of the best dance spaces around DC)
Chautauqua tower and street car / Georgetown University / Jack's boathouse from Key Bridge

The stalker vibe again. I took pictures of a cute blond on a vintage single speed until she noticed and shouted angrily "Dude, what are you doing!?" I replied "Taking your picture.".
I'm sorry I think you look good, wear a burka if it bothers you so much.
So I have a picture of a man instead. I sort of know this man, I think he will be OK with me posting his picture.
And a picture of a dove that perched on my rack for a minute yesterday while I unloaded my trailer.

Dove's a good sign. Those riders on RIA near the MD line--at South Dakota Avenue? I really love all these pictures!

Very close to South Dakota. I was eastbound on Newton heading home when I spotted them ahead in the distance on RI. I excused myself to a lovely gal and fellow commuter I had been stalking/riding along side of/ chatting with and quickly cut right on 28th. I caught the pack where 28th, Monroe and RI intersect.
