Here is a classic example of said d-bag.

it happens when you have the greatest conglomeration of self-centered idiots in the whole world
This has got to be the truest statement I've ever read on any forum on the net. Bravo!

Hoping he is ok. Anybody know him?
Not sure about the one in the afternoon, but saw the same thing in the evening, around 8:30pm. Didnt see it happen but saw him on the road and the 2 ambulances. Later around 9 they had the area yellow taped and a 2 cop cars with a black detective car. There was blood and some bandages on the road. Not sure about his condition but the tape and number of police after the fact makes me think it was pretty serious.

Jeeze, what's with the callous, Internet-tough-guy responses? Yeah, it's dumb not wearing a helmet, but nobody deserves to be injured like that, vdek. And why would you ask a question like that in a situation like this, Bacciagalupe? Isn't it obvious from the OP's post that he was concerned about this individual because he was on the scene and it rattled him?

Sheesh, cheer up, guys. Low is a class, too. (eyeroll)

You know, I agreed with everything you said right up until you said you were going to start spitting at people. You're right about them being stupid for walking in the bike lanes, though. It is annoying as hell.

In related news, a pedestrian was killed by a cyclist for the first time since 2009 in NYC, also in Central Park. He was 75, and as turns out, an active member of the NYCC.

Huh, I wear a team kit when I ride. I'm also considerate to peds and other cyclists. You must be the commuter type in vehicular traffic... Ignorant, lame, d***head-f**tard.

I started reading this without looking at the date, but I knew it had a familiar ring to it.

I've completely given up on Central Park except to take my kids, who are packing up for college at the moment, so they aren't kids anymore.
