General Question: How do I delete a post/thread of my own?

Every once in a while, I get bored and I come up with a stupid idea, like last night's thread asking people to vote on an issue that doesn't really warrant a poll. I'd like to delete the post and the thread (although no one has responded yet) but I can't find that option under EDIT POST.

Can anybody help?

I'm posting this reply so I can test deletion...

EDIT: When I click "Edit Post," at the top of the edit page I see a checkbox that says "Delete this post in the following manner," followed by one choice: a radio button that says "Delete Message." I suspect that if you started a thread, you'd also have the choice to delete the thread, but perhaps only moderators can do that. Why don't you give it a try now that there's another message on the thread?

Nope. It's not there. I thought it might be under "Thread Tools," but uh uh.

Hey, is there a moderator who can delete my post with the poll attached? Or can you, at least, delete the poll part?
