Don't worry about it - not all of us climb like Taxi and Bostic and Bottlerocket - last time I rode with them, they dropped me on every hill. On a long climb like that, I'd imagine that everyone will splinter, and you'll find some folks going at a pace you're comfortable with.

Speaking of which? Where's Racheal?? Monica is coming, and you know Phoebe's alway's in the middle of it all...

Sounds awesome. There's some family talk about going out of town that weekend, but that's still up in the air with less than 50% chance. If that falls through, I'll be joining you guys.

yeah, but I'd be 1/2 hour behind you, so that's an hour!
but I'll try it anyway if I'm back in time.

I've never done Mt. Hamilton... How long would the ride be and is it something that'll kill someone that's never climbed that much in his life in one shot?
And I'll also need to get permission from the boss before i can commit. So I'm a definite maybe for now!
I'll hopefully be in decent shape by then since I'm doing the Waves to Wine ride again this year!

Any chance the new jerseys will have arrived by then? This would be just like last year when everybody donned their new kits:

I put this ride on the calendar. I also put the Livermore ride on the calendar. I'm going to see if I can get away with TWO rides on the long weekend.

Mt. Hamilton is long but not steep (20 miles @ 5% grade). Most people take 1.5-2.5 hours. Almost any regular cyclist can do it if they pace themself. You don't need real low gears because the road never gets very steep. There is little shade, so it can get hot sometimes.
