Have to withdraw. Can't make it to Sacramento Friday, and can't drive the 3 hours Sat. AM.

Sorry, I really wanted to see new areas...

I'm gonna have to bail as well I think. I'd really love to ride in that area sometime, maybe there could be a redux sometime in the fall after it cools down? The central valley summer heat is toooo much for this coastal denizen.

Not going to be able to ride after all. Even without the obligatory birthday party commitment, it turns out I won't get my bike back with the new freehub until Saturday anyway, and not early enough to get out and join you all. Frustrating. I love riding up in EDH and it would be great to establish some regular rides with other locals.

Anyway, have a fantastic ride - I'll be thinking of you all as I'm watching my son at Pump It Up in Rocklin

Bummer. I'll schedule another ride for the fall. I expect we'll do more climbing then as, hopefully anyway, folks will have ridden their legs into shape.

Definitely do that - I am always looking for medium-length rides in good company on the weekend - usually 40-50 mile rides on Saturdays. I tend to ride sporadically during the week as time allows - usually two or three 20-mile rides in the evenings.

Joel,

Count me in for Saturday. I may not be able to stay for pizza though, as I have family flying later in the day and have to do an airport run. Time of finish and energy level will tell.

Looking forward to meeting everyone, some for the second time. I rode with you on a ride from Davis to Cantelow sometime last year, when Red Rider and hubby turned their dog trailer over.

See you and everyone else Saturday morning.

Eric

D'oh. Criminy, I hate to jump on the bailout train, but I hadn't realized when I signed up that I was double-booking the weekend.

I'll keep an eye out for the fall ride. I might even be in shape for it by then.

If he takes Amtrak we can pick him up at the Suisun/Fairfield station and put him up for the night, and he can drive up with us.

Does he know he's invited?

Sorry, but I'll have to skip this ride. I'll have to come in to work tomorrow. I was looking forward to this ride too as I haven't really been going to any of the bf rides lately.

Theoretically, they'll be in today. I'll post when I receive them, and will include a picture.

The numbers for the ride keep changing, and I'm sure I'm still missing at least one in the list.

Have her take the light rail to the Mather Field stop (or you could in the am) and have her drive up to meet us!

If she had more time, we'd totally be down... but she's probably looking for some "us" time
