I'll join you at 9 if this plan still holds. Although I'm not part of the DMD pack, Diablo repeat season is fast approaching for me.

Bikes: aggressive agreement is what I ride.

Could be a fun turnout turning out.

I did 45 miles with 4041 feet today. Think knee is a little better. Felt it on the ride, but less so after (which is the opposite of normal).

New Cho-Pat brace arrived while I was out on the ride. I will try it out tomorrow on Diablo. Hopefully it's not too bulky.

Still a little sick, but getting better.

South, North, North, then back down SG to cars?

that's my plan. I can bring a cho-pat strap you can try if the one you got is too much to ride with.

Chris,

That would be awesome. Just in case. I thought this one was a bit less clunky that it turned out to be.

I'll bring it, but FWIW I quit wearing while riding, and wear it while walking around/sitting. I don't think any elastic strap is going to put out enough pressure while your riding to significantly change the tracking of the patella. Those muscles are strong, tendons are thick.

But, I'll bring it and you can see. Are you set up behind the spindle, or KOPS exactly?

Might wear triple crown jersey ... and embarrass myself for being so slow up the mountain.

Actually I see exactly what you mean.

I just wore the brace, after today's ride (and after some ice) when I walked the dog and while running errands. It really made a big difference. I just took it off and can feel a slight twinge compared to with it on. So yeah I think I am in agreement with you.

Knee is like 10-15mm behind KOPS.

I usually do south, north, south. That way you can stop at the car before the last climb to load up on more food and water. Just don't sit down.

What about South, South, North, so we can ditch warmers/cool-weather stuff after the first climb, but don't have the option to sit down and stop after climb 2?

Stats for the Weekend:
124 miles
10,910 ft

Most of that was from today's tough ride on the tandem, so it was actually harder.

Knee only slightly sore, at rare times. Still a little congested from the illness, but I think that the next several days off, and I will be looking good for DMD (I hope).
