2013 Sea Otter Gran Fondo - Found wheel

I found an expensive wheel in Monterey this weekend (Sea Otter Gran Fondo - Monterey) and I want to return it to the owner. Owner must be able to describe the wheel and the location where he/she thinks it was left to claim ownership. I was unable to leave it where it would be safe for the owner to find it.

You might contact the race organizers to see if someone reported it lost.

To clarify, I didn't find it at the venue. The location was about 16 miles away.

It's round, with fancy pants tires, and super light spokes and stuff. Can I haz the wheel thingy?

I was driving to the Sea Otter in 2005 with a buddy and we watched a wheel fly off the top of someone's Subaru on 101 somewhere. It bounced off to the left into the median and was lost in the fog.

Tighten the wheels in your racks, people.
