Anyone going both days?

I made the mistake of assuming one day would be enough. Now, it's looking like two days isn't going to be enough, but that's all we're being given.

I'm annoyed with myself. I told my SO that it would only be one day that I'd go to the show. I think this means I committed to just one day. Doh!

I know I'm going to be there Saturday, including the meet and greet at the Lucky Lab. I don't think my husband would have any serious objections to me going for two days if I thought I needed it. It's his days off, mine would be the problem (I have Tuesday/Wednesday nights off now). Easy enough for me to get one day off. On the other hand, I could just take three days off and have a mini-holiday .

If you bring your bikes, you can also do the "Worst Day of the Year Ride" on Sunday. Starts and ends at the Lucky Lab.

Bikes: See my sig...

I spent the last hour checking flights and connections and was thinking that a combination of air and rail would work really well since it saves me some significant $$$ and would let me see some scenery on the way down.

Not being stuck with flying Air Canada is a good thing.

I should have all my stuff booked by the weekend... I need my passport which I will be picking up first thing Friday morning.

I'm going to be in town starting Friday AM for a wedding (which is Saturday night).

Looks like I'm "free" to attend the show Saturday...I am thinking I will be there first thing in the morning and stay a few hours (the wedding is at 5 pm Sat).

Some possibility I would stop by the Lucky Lab if you all are going to be there late Saturday night...

I am very excited about the show...I checked the show website and it appeared to me that they've seriously updated the exhibitor list since I last checked...lots and lots of interesting folks going to be there.

I don't think fun will even begin to describe this trip... I'll be staying a week in Portland with some of the coolest people imaginable and then spending a couple of days in Vancouver with my brother and some friends before I fly home.

Now I am counting the days but soon it will be hours, and then minutes.

I also hear that there is a bike show happening.

Canadians are far cooler than most people... that would probably have something to do with the weather.

Just 20 more sleeps to being somewhere warmer.

We should start an offical roll-call thread here (with link over in C&V) to see exactly who's going to be there from BF's.

Mr. East Hill as well, at the Lucky Lab, although not necessarily at the show.

It'll be fine. Just pay your fare - the inspectors are getting more diligent.

Oh, I hadn't thought about taking Max. Mr. East Hill is going to the Sportsman's Show at Portland Expo Center.

Anyone got directions on using Max from the Expo Center to the Convention Center?

The convention center has it's own station on the Max. You would need to change from the Yellow line (the one that leaves from the Expo center) to the blue or red and then it's one stop east. I plan on taking it down to the Rose district and riding a little ways on the way in and then going for a ride after the show.

Thanks Ron! That sounds like an easy way for me to get there without having to worry about parking the car somewhere, and it will make Mr. East Hill's life much easier .

Actually, it's a 2-3 block walk from the Yellow line station to the Convention Center - really no need to transfer to a Red or Blue line train. Just so you know.

Even easier! Besides, I'll need the exercise after driving down from Seattle .

I see Donna has posted an announcement at the top of each forum about the show. I am really thrilled that we will all be able to meet each other .

I believe there will be an iBob (inter-net Bridgestone Owners Bunch) contingent at the Luck Lab at some point as well, and Saturday is advanced packet pick up for the Worst Day of the Year ride. Sounds like cyclists will be taking over the Lab that day!

I will probably run in to some of you at either the show or Lucky Lab, not that I will recognize anyone, or vice-versa, but there is always hope!

I don't think I'll be wearing the helmet, though .

Does anyone know if non-riders can pay to join the riders for the feast afterwards? I clicked all over the website, didn't see anything, so I think the answer is 'no'.

Call the Lucky Lab. If they are open during the event, then you'll be able to mingle.

I believe I'm going to be getting new brakes for my bike soon, so I think I'll be skipping the ride.
