It's looking to be around 7.00 pm on Saturday. At least, that's when I think I'm going to be there .

I am having dinner with friends who have a toddler who's in bed ideally at 8pmish. The parents might last until 10pmish, longer if they are craving adult attention. So, not sure if I we will make it to the Lucky Lab. They might be interested in going---if so---we'll be there earlier and stay as long as we can. Fingers and toes crossed!

Thanks. That was the perfect suggestion. I just called the Lucky Lab. Yes, they are going open as usual. They are tenting the parking lot make extra seating.

This is going to be fun.

I won't be able to make it this year. My first class is on Valentines Day night...so we'll be staying locally. Say hi to all while at the NAHBS. That ride looks like fun! Take lots of picture of the BF'ers and their steeds so we can ooo and ah.

FB is Bow attending?

Hey Easty...that BF shirt looks nice! Is this Max #13?

Ah, BengeBoy and I are going to have a BikeForums coffee break at one of the two Starbucks located in the Center.

Still haven't figured out which one, but the plan is to meet at 1.00 pm. Perhaps you can join us for that?

Too bad you can't make it! I'm going to do my best to take photos of everyone .

No, not Max #13, although I am hoping to pick up my custom painted RED Raleigh mixte from Dr. Deltron whilst down there .

I figured that the t-shirt would make it easy for everyone to find me .

I'll look a lot like this guy.

(that's a 61 cm frame in this photo, East Hill...something tells me we won't be fighting over the same sized bikes at the show).

My wife Kasia & I will be there for the bike show, the ride, and maybe even the Lucky Lab BF gathering. At some point this weekend we need to find time to sneak over to Powell's Books...

It is totally easy to navigate to/from Powell's to/from the destinations in question. If you need directions or anything, let me know.

I think you are right!

Mr. East Hill might fight you over that bike, but definitely not me!

Bikes: To many to list. I like them all!

I was going to go but at this high General admission prices I think NOT! Yes, call me a cheap date but these prices are a bit over the top.

Ages 12-60 $15.00 with advance ticket; $18.00 at the door.

2 Day Pass $ 28.00 with advance ticket; $32.00 at the door

3 Day Pass - With Seminar Admission (doors open at 11am for this pass)

$125 with advance ticket; $150.00 at the door.

3 Day Pass - With Preview! (Doors open at 1pm for this pass)

$75 with advance ticket; $90.00 at the door.

$18 is cheap for what could be a once in a lifetime experience for many of us!

But, you could always come down to the Lucky Lab for the meet and greet. Where else are you going to get the chance to meet so many of the people behind the usernames ?

I'll be driving down from the Seattle area, staying at the Marriott Residence Inn on Multnomah (just east of the convention center).

What is the best route to bike from the convention center area to the Lucky Lab (for the Worst Day Ride)?

Do I need to rent a car if I can attend? I'll be coming from out of state, flying in Friday evening, and leaving at 11:50 pm Sat night. I'm assuming there is secure parking at the convention center?

I would think that you might be able to get away without renting a car, depending on where you are staying. Public transportation is pretty good in Portland, although Donna can probably tell you better than I can.

I'm not Donna, but, I know there's the MAX (light rail) that runs from the airport to the convention center area...is it the red line?

https://trimet.org/max/index.htm

Yes, looks that way.

If you take the MAX Red Line, choose your seatmate carefully.
