it is close enough to sensible relubing distance. i would normally do it at 100 miles. you want me t take the pic of the chain at this stage or after another ride?

Not enough time to teach you immunology, but you are correct. It's T-cell mediated, not antibody mediated, so it takes the immune cells a few days to do their thing. If you wash the oil off RIGHT away you can prevent or at least minimize the reaction.
