Homebrew lube question.

Isn't it bad to have the liquid splashed on the painted parts of the bike? Since it has mineral spirits?

Probably no harm but to be safe just wipe it off. Most frames have some type of clearcoat to protect the frame material.

i think yes but then again doesn't all lube have solvent too?

i just wipe it off after lubing.

Relube or not, the point is that if you need to clean your chain every 100 miles, something is wrong.
