Actually, the entire Van Halen band (including Sam Hagar) were nerds. That's why they were so successful in the 80's, the decade of the nerd.

Duh. I meant steerer. Cut the stem. Sheesh.

I would not suggest that you cut the steerer yourself unless you have a jig. You night want to keep a 1mm spacer underneath to allow for a little headset adjustment.

As far as I know, when I was in school in the early 80's, it wasn't the nerds that were getting wasted and nailing VB.

Woke up this morning with a swollen knee from fighting thru the hami pull yesterday.

good news is i got all my ILT out on the right leg for the rest of the season.

It's frowned upon...but i was down for like 6 months after my motorcycle accident and nobody cared. It's when you are doing something stupid that they get upset. We are expected to stay in great shape so cycling is part of my required exercise routine, generally they don't care.
