I have 3 sticks of 512, but I forget what speed they are...OEM from dells 2 sticks are samsung the sticker says "512mb 1Rx8 PC2-4200U-444-10-A3" If they fit the bill let me know.
I investigated a bit and it appears it is DDR2-533 (the 4200 number) not sure if her mobo can handle it but if it can she can ditch her old RAM and upgrade to this.
does she just have on board video, I have an extra card too?

This picture of my bike might be better, the phone camera inside isn't that great.

Looking good Heckler. Nice wheels.

Entry-level road components (tiagra)... If I had to choose ONE thing to upgrade, where would I see the most weight savings/performance?
1) Tires/wheels
2) Crankset/bb
3) Derailleurs/shifters
4) Fiber fork (currently aluminum, ~1lb)
5) Fiber bars
I'm really trying to avoid buying an entire groupset - which I am liable to do. I'm looking at the Ultegra/SRAM groupset.

Is this standard across all wheels or do different manufacturers do it differently? I can put a 5mm hex in one end but there is nothing else to "hold" onto to get it off (unless I pipe wrench the axel)

With the wheels or in general?
It is dumping snow on us in the philly area right now, and the downside of working in a manufacturing plant is you never get a day off for weather (unless it gets really nuts). I am sticking with the EA50sls for now (winter slop) and the fuji gets the Souls once I figure out the rear stuff. I have a trainer tire on a third wheel set so I am good for now with the Fuji on the trainer. I could just use one more cassette and some fresh tires sometime this spring, but i get the feeling that I am going to keep these on for a while once it gets nice out, the new wheels have new G4000 tires on them now.

OK VV it is clearly time for you to buy some schwag. Your old bike needs some perking up.

Yes. I regret _slightly_ not spending a couple hundred more to get the Ultegra groupset but I have a 3 week-old baby and I'm cycling on a budget. Plus I'm new so this is ok for now... but I don't plan on being an occasional or half-assed rider. I rarely commit to something and do anything but go balls to the wall.
I'm constantly having to talk myself down from the ledge though. I'd love to get rid of the sora shifters but I wouldn't see a lot of weight savings with those. I'm not the type to NOT tinker/upgrade with anything mechanical/electrical I own. So I'm ok spending some extra $$. It's easier to justify spending a couple hundred every couple months than spending $1500 at once for a bicycle.
Blah blah blah, etc
Damn that does suck bro. It happened in the other direction for me. You thinking of dumping her?

p.s. ride the new bike. Enjoy it. Don't upgrade it. Save some money and when you're ready to upgrade, upgrade the whole bike
