Real feel when I got off work this evening was 7 degrees. I think I will pass on night rides when it feels like 7 degrees, black ice sneaks up on you fast in those conditions.

We give it to friends and relatives. I don't know how well it would ship. It's in a Mason jar.

Believe me, jars ship just fine. We ship thousands of them a year.

It will depend on what rims, spokes, and hubs you go with.

My parents do most of it but I get to do it when they are out of town. It is actually pretty rare for us to hear about broken jars. It does happen but not too much. I will say that we have had more broken jars since switching to FedEx but their rates are so much cheaper we pretty much have to stay with them.

I understand completely. If by some miracle I end up racing again one of these days I will be getting tubulars. For daily riding I prefer clinchers though.

If you are in a buying mood, Performance currently has Reynolds Assault tubulars for $750, plus a 15% coupon going to make them $640. They had a 25% off coupon the other day that made them $560. LowCel or even Psimet can chime in and correct me, but I think that is one of the few deals that Rob can't touch.

I can't comment on Psimet pricing but I will say that seems like it would be pretty tough to beat as far as the price goes. One thing to consider is rider weight though. If VA Esquire is heavier custom built would definitely be advisable. For all I know he weighs 130 pounds soaking wet, or 330 pounds after a hot tea enema.

Va esquire in the schwag thread I posted the weights of clinchers that rob quoted me 1760g or so and 80g less if I used the sapim spokes. And I weigh 190.
