Nope, I'm not in good enough shape. I plan to race again in 2012. I need to get my weight down and work on speeding up my recovery from hard efforts.

For me this is a good month. I finally started the downward trend after a stagnant jan. nearly 6 lbs lost this month.

I'm stuck at 44 pounds still. I need to lose 36 more to be happy. However, I need to lose an additional 5-10 to race.

for my summer solstice ride to stonehenge, I have one guy committed and today another guy called me to say he will do it. The new guy has been training for a marathon so he will be fit enough but probably needs a couple of long rides to acclimatise his butt. He's a cycle commuter and rides about 10 miles everyday anyway. He also told me his cousin was planning a ride from london to paris and thinks he can do it in 2 days. That sounds a bit full on. I would have thought 3 days would be more likely. Anyway, I've agreed to do that ride too.
woo hoo. cycling planning is go! I love spring.

I love mid Ohio. I broke away on the third lap once, 17 laps mostly solo and ended up 2nd. Broke away around lap 15 or so another time and finished 3rd.
