No, even when there's not people in the way it's not good for speed because it's curvy and there's bumps from tree roots under the pavement.

Ha ha, I found a picture of the bridge

I pretty much already live there. Quality of cycling is pretty good. The road season is not year 'round though. I should build a mountain bike for winter riding.

The downside here is the cost of health insurance for the self-employed.

I like it here. It's not the most bicycle-friendly land in America, but you get used to that and the scenery is great.

My biggest gripe is the cold winters here. They blow.

I would not use the quality of cycling as my reason for choosing a place to live. Too many other factors take priority.

It's chilly and wet again. Did you get more snow in the great white north?

Do Appleaphiles take the soft packaging materials from their purchases and roll around naked in bed with it?

Negative.

It's like 40F and rainy. There is a lot of snow melt. We're watching the creek and hoping it doesn't over run its bank.

I've recently discovered, much to my chagrin, that I must have a food allergy to grapefruit. I've been eating quite a bit lately (1 every other day) and started getting this feeling in my mouth similar to the feeling I'd get after my braces (orthodontics, for your coasting) were tightened when I was a teen. It was like my teeth were floating. Very unsettling...thought I needed a root canal...but I layed off the grapefruit and the feeling went away. Just had a grapefruit to make sure...and sure enough...mouth is starting to feel funny again.
