Bob Roll...funny guy...

Watching the Versus coverage today, I was amused by this comment by Bob.

They were showing the podium presentation to the stage winner, Amaël Moinard, who had taken his, maybe 2 year old, child onto the podium in his arms. Without hesitation, Bob says "And here's the traditional gift of a young child being presented." I had to watch it twice...it was so casual and so...Bobke.

I liked that too; dry humor is great.

I liked the very end of the broadcast where they had just showed Contador right after he won the race and they were talking about how it was too bad Contador isn't tactical enough. You would have thought he had lost the race from the comments they were making. It cracked me up.

I counted three 'suitcase of courage' references during the stage 7 coverage. Excellent!

It was poor timing, but you have to admit, what they said was true. Contador does make some poor tactical choices and, eventually, it's going to bite him in the butt.

He still has a lot to learn! he has only won 2 tours, 1 giro, and 1 vuelta, give him a little time! I'm sure by the time he wins 5 more tours, 2 more giros and maybe one more Vuelta, he will have this tactical issue all figured out!

He won't win those races with the team he has now, making some of the decisions he done in the past. I like the guy, he is a strong climber, but he needs to pull is head out and and think about what he is doing.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be his last year with Astana!https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/cont...s-astana-offer

He's a strong climber AND excellent at time trials. Great combination in a rider.

So if he does happen to win say the TDF with his current team will that stop all the second guessing or will it always be a case of he won BUT he needs to start using tactics.

Since he didn't opt out of his contract with Astana it's obvious the guy wants to try and prove he doesn't need a strong team or a dominate manager with tactical skills. This alone would be reason enough for LA and JB to hate him. Win or loose we are going to have some show to watch in July.

Love the RoadID commercials:
