Tour Of Flanders
I can find no listing for televised coverage of this race in North America. Would hate to miss out.

If you had like 10 millions to sponsor a tv event, and you sell slippers... would you take 30 secs in the f... super bowl or 30 secs in the tour of flanders???

Might hafta wait until somebody posts it on YouTube just to watch it. I picked up the whole of Paris - Nice 2013, in english, there this weekend in HD MP4. The climbs in this one might not suit my man Taylor Phinney but watch out for him in Paris - Roubaix where it's flatter.

I spent extra bucks last year to have both cable AND satellite in order to have access to the (very limited) US coverage of the European races. Well, this year I wised up and watch races on my home computer! www.steephill.tv
I watched Gent-Wevelgem and Milan Sanremo on this site. No commercials...just ads...simply fit the video to your full screen and it's like watching TV. DON'T click on any of the ads! Sometimes the feed I got had commentators in either Dutch or French, but hey, it's a commercial-free feed! I wish I knew all of this last year!

Universal Sports, BeIn Sports, and NBC Sports are the stations that I get with DirecTV that have been airing a lot of cycling. Unfortunately, neither of these have the Tour of Flanders scheduled. But to be honest, the amount of races they have all aired so far this year (and plan to air this year) is very impressive for the USA.

Screw those guys... I'm getting a Cycling.TV subscription - $30 for three months will cover Flanders, Roubaix, Amgen, Giro and more. I think I saw something about a free trial if somebody only wants one race.
Edit: No live coverage though
Sunday March 31, 2013
Recap will be available on demand after the race finishes.

Another edit: No AMGEN... to hell with Cycling.tv too. This sucks.

I take my chances with the links on Steephill...sometimes I end up watching a little Snooker. And who knows what kind of crap gets loaded onto my computer when I try to click the close box on an ad and it launches some other window. And boy...some of those online ads can get a little racey and I wonder what my wife will think when she looks over my shoulder.
But such is the price I pay to be a cycling fan in the U.S.

Yeah, there was a lot of extra crap that went along with at least the top links in there - took me a long time to clean up. If you find one that doesn't require some special viewer with toolbars, doesn't change your default search engine, and doesn't put a dozen shortcuts to programs I don't want on my desktop let me know.

This is the same channel (under a different name) that pulled away from the last 3 minutes of the Santa Cruz stage a few years ago so they could go to a hockey pre-game show.
And the same channel that didn't cover ANY of the first pass over Mount Diablo last year (personal insult).
I was hoping for something better from C.tv

I just discovered that there is a 2-hour telecast of the Tour of Flanders on Sportsnet One in Canada. A day late but I will be busy Sunday anyway. Commentary will undoubtedly be British.

You have to just watch steephill, but beware of all the popups and possible malware. But as far as the TV coverage goes, why is Universal sports showing the 3 days of de panne and E3 Harelbeke but NOT the Tour of Flanders? The one day races are far more interesting than grand tours, where the only racing in 3 weeks occurs in the last 3-5 K of mountain top finishes.

Steel is real, baby!
I am so excited for de Ronde, that I awoke at 5AM this morning and got on Steephill to watch. After about 10 minutes of trying to figure it out, I realized that the race is TOMORROW!
Silly me...

The technology is not yet sufficiently advanced to watch a race before it is run.
