Strange that he changed bikes for sure.....makes you wonder why they announced they would be weighing bikes, as if they knew something.
Froome will get away with any punishment, which is quite ridiculous really, surely the guy gaining the advantage from eating should be the one docked time not the one who made his dinner?
Either way, nothing will happen, a blind eye as always to the powerful teams.

Be smart all you want, but we have seen today how team skys ethics work.
If you bonk, its part of the race, you just take it and fight on, sky on the other hand don't give a monkeys and just go feed the problem, to me that shows they have zero respect for the tours standing and even less respect for fellow riders.

I expect something like this to come out. The time fine should be large, IMHO.

Froome has such a lead, I'm going to mentally block him and watch Contador, Quintana, Kreuziger and Rodriguez to see who makes the lower 2 steps on the podium. That's a race.

Same here, got to fancy Quintana and Rodriguez to be 2nd and 3rd now, Rodriguez now looks very good after a sluggish start to the tour.
The polka dot jersey is up for grabs too, will expect a full on assault on that tomorrow by a few i imagine, personally i hope someone, maybe Contador has a pop on the first climb just to see how well Froome has recovered after today, not that i expect anything to come from it but if he blew up on the first climb then who knows?

When Froome is asked if he's doping, he usually responds by saying "I don't cheat". Well, he can no longer respond that he doesn't cheat.
There needs to be more than a 20 second penalty to stop that sort of thing from happening again.

Don't bleat on about ethics (especially not in the context of professional cycling, of all sports). All the teams would do whatever it takes to help their riders win the TDF. Naive to think otherwise.

If thats the case why didn't bmc feed tj? Surely its an unwritten rule, like waiting for someone who has a mechanical during an attack? You take whats coming, if it means you suffer, so be it? I have seen a thousand riders crack on a mountain stage, but have never seen any of them immediately cheat their way out of it.

Actually, there's a question; usually when a sprinter gets dq'ed for bumping another sprinter, he gets demoted to last place on the day (but same time he arrived). If that applied here, would Froome get similarly demoted for today's stage? Obviously wouldn't make a difference overall, but would matter towards green and, especially, polka dot jersey standings.

And no, this isn't a horrendously disrespectful breach that is like stabbing Le Tour in the heart with a stale baguette. It's a minor infraction, it was pretty obvious, and they got busted for it. BFD.

No. It's a written rule, where if you ask or accept an illegal feed, you get a penalty. Both Porte and Froome took a penalty, I wouldn't be surprised if there were financial as well as time penalties.

What caused Tejay's mechanical issue? Dropped chain?
