Kids' Trailer for Dutch Opa bike? Schwinn? Burley? InStep?
Hello! New here! Just looking into some used trailers for my two toddlers (Schwinn, InStep, Burley) and wondering if there are compatibility issues for these with a Dutch opa bike. I have had trouble with finding a seat that works and the trailer seems like a better alternative. A full bakfiets is just not practical for us.
Anyone have a Dutch bike and used one of these trailers?
Thank you!!!!

Welcome to the forums. I have an InStep and they are made by the same conglomerate in the same Chinese factory as the Schwinns. Both are pretty cheap, and low in features. It has held together ok for ~300 miles. Sooner or later I plan to replace it with a Burley or a Thule Chariot, which have better seats, better wheels, weatherproofing, a sun shade and UV-proof windows, can convert to a stroller, more accessories, etc. The InStep hitch works with both nutted and quick release axles but it does need some flange area free around it. I can't use it on my old Super Sport where it interferes with the rack. I don't know about your bike specifically. See this thread https://www.bikeforums.net/recreation...rear-rack.html

Wow! Thank you! I will focus on Burley then. In my area you can get a used one in good shape for $100. Would love to hear from anyone who has a Dutch commuter bike as far as compatibility but I will further on here. Great site!
