was this a good buy?
I just purchased a 2010 gary fisher simple city for $250 new, i am going to put it in as a commuter and im hoping it will last, the components seem good and the actual frame and fork are good too but i want another opinion if i got a good deal for what i paid for it?

go to www.bikepedia.com and look the bike up. There are a couple simple city models. Looks like a good deal from the perimeter.

MSRP shows up at just under $1,000 for the 2010 model. Usually you can find them for a decent discount off from the MSRP but going for just $250 is a really steep discount.
If you are looking at used bikes on CL it is always a good idea to just google on the bike name and model. I looked at one for kicks today, and a 2009 bike that had an MSRP of under $600 was listed with a sale price of $450. You probably could have bought it brand new for $500 so the asking price is ridiculous because subsequent owners do not get the warranty that goes with a new bike.
