I hope you're going for a model that has at least a triple in front. Buy one with more gear range than you think you need, because you will need it; and fixing the gearing later is expensive.

Our local vets home has a TT Rover, and I have ridden it a few times, thinking the 8 speeds would not be enough for me, as I hope to do a bit more than just local short rides. That is why I am looking at either a rambler or tour II, which sits a bit lower than the rambler. Both have 3 gears up front giving about 21 to 27 different combinations.

For heavier riders, getting in and out of a low trike can be hard. The Rambler is one that has a slightly higher seat, which might be a good thing.
Wizwheels is based in the Grand Rapids area, as you probably already know. You could probably finagle test rides at their factory. ( I hear rumors that they have an indoor track.)

I put my tadpole sun seeker eco tad on its side on top of a homemade dolly and fit it through the door.
