It doesnt get much better than this
Yesterday while out on the bike trails, I rode about 3 miles up hill into the wind. THEN I rolled back down hill only having to pedal once and a while. Sitting back on my recumbent, not all hunched up like a dog made the ride fantastic. Being able to sit back and look around is great. Unlike the DF riders you see, I was not staring at the ground or my front wheel. The DF racer wanna bes can turn up their nose, claim Im not riding a real bike, but I was totally relaxed and enjoying the expierence.

I can equate to this. 20 mile ride out and back, but chose the wrong direction first. As far as I am concerned, laid back is the only way to ride. This statement is after many miles and years of "hunching-over" to get where I wanted to go.

Don't assume that other cyclists aren't "totally relaxed and enjoying the experience " just because of the style of bike that they are riding.

Uprights have their strong points, too. We all choose our bikes based on our priorities. Believe it or not most upright riders genuinely like their bikes.
