Why no jousting? That could give us a permanent solution to the prob.

I'd like to suggest some moto-style events:barrel roll,board riding,slalom.

maybe something like "a respectable society of miscreants, scofflaws, and bootleggers "?
or, someone could put some options on a poll on the yahoo group list.

ps - does the mixte have a new sister yet? if not, she can have an exchange student stay with her probably starting this weekend.

awesome! so tink, spud, and lbk will be freshly minted fixed riders! perhaps a trackstand practice night is in order?

since next week's pillage is entirely for points, not for speed, y'all should bring 'em out. with brakes. please, brakes.

Add DC_Emily to that list as she's now got a quirky little conversion of her own.

Wow, this is amazing, everyone is getting new machines!

Ha!, I just flipped my hub...so to speak and was out practicing last night too! So lets all get fixed next time! btw: the skewer got replaced by a real axial and track nutz for safety's sake.

Re: C dead people, for some reason, I slept late and had the wierd idea that it started at 6, so missed the race...I was so bummed out. Sorry Chimbly for not showing

re: shirt slogan, the "riding problem" theme is kinda amuzing. so maybe as LBK suggested with "with a riding problem" at the end ???

ghetto rigging?
Some of the coolest fixes I've seen are converted classy roadies.
However, a proper rear hub is nothing to argue about

it's ghetto if the chainline's wrong, the dropouts are 135 and the wheel's 120, etc.

one thing i will NEVER argue about, though-- LOCKRINGS.
dude. loctite and jb weld will get you dead.

Watched a mediocre remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers over weekend and Meg Tilly's excellent keynote speech as pod queen comes to mind:
"Where are you going to go? Where are you going to run? Where are you going to hide? Nowhere, because there's no one like you left."

Submit. Unless you have a helicopter.

Nah. In fact,I'm looking at using a Nexus hub to convert my 1x1 into a 1x1x7.

BTW,how'd the alleycat turn out? I got sucked into helping my Dad pack for his move.

I like option c with option a below it.
is this a fraktur or a script face? (geeks out)
My only prob is that both are hard to read, and it kinda reads like we have a "hiking" problem. crunchy backpacking pirates...boooooo.

inspired: 'kick out the yarrrrrs mother****er!'
