Speaking of feeding, i was just siting here looking at the forum and I thought to myself,"I want to eat my thumb"

Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to eat it, but the thought did come in to my head. I need some sleep.

attention monster track pirates:
its been suggested we rent a minivan/van and drive up to new york friday night after we all get off work/out of class. race is sometime on saturday and there will be an afterparty of some sort and probably some more parties with our host. then we have sunday to goof off in the city and come back sunday night.

its not too late to come, so far: chimblysweep, jonny5, watchitburn, mannakai and spud, if you do not have a trackbike or do not feel comfortable racing sans brakes or in a different city there will be plenty of checkpoints to help with or you can just ride along (not compete) and discover more of new york.

re: MonsterTrack -- I'm gonna take the chinatown bus up on friday morning (since, ha ha, I don't work on Fridays, EVER), so count me out on the whole soccer-mom minivan dealio. Hopefully you can find a van with a "my kid's an honor student at cardozo high school" bumper sticker.

also, some advice following spud's warning:
"if you do not have a trackbike or do not feel comfortable racing sans brakes or in a different city..."

I recommend you get some loose balls for your bearings. two per sac. just ask. most bike shops have 'em.

grrr. riding brakeless isn't about "having balls" or "being a man." in truth, it's about using a bike NOT made for the streets on the streets, which, imho, isn't really all that clever.

people who are reluctant to ride brakeless could be called either "chicken" or "clever" and i opt for the later.

I recommend you find some more enlightened metaphors. Maybe I can loan you some post-feminist pirate literature.

julie and jonny are kind of lucky to have left when they did, the rest of the night was peter talking about getting his salad tossed, to use the parlance of our times.

jesus in a sidecar kids. twas a joke. ha ha. see: laughing. it's funny. throw neither your feminist tirades nor your luddite wisdom at me. I agree. I was playing off a little riff we got going last night, about cups and cones and bearings and such.

think about how much time you'll have to have to true that.
