i love dc because we do a lot as a group. i love my pirates. we have picnics and stuff too, and i am setting up a holiday potluck on what is possibly one of my last weekends. we also have wrenching parties and other events. if i move up there, which is pointing towards yes, would you guys be interested in doing events such as i have listed?

I'm down for the group events (especially riding, wrenching and rum drinking). And the alleykitten sounds sweet, here or up in NYC, where ever.

i have a place to stay in new york, i'd have to ask how many people can crash there though. spud says it sounds like the new york one will be happening, but i'll be sure to let you guys know when i find out.
and also, since max and i both want to put on a race anyways, there will be a valentin's alleycat/kitten. one day, two routes. one for first timers/out of towners/people who just want a nice easy fun ride, and another for people who want to have a longer ride with more things to do, and probably quite a bit more difficult.
that is gonna be saturday, february 10.

Yesss. Me and the lady are ready for a cute, fuzzy, gentle alleykitten. May I request no slush on the roads and a temperature above 55 degrees? Didn't think so

max, are we going to use the same start/finish for both races? I think definately same finish is a good idea at least. And then to the same bar(or house party if anybody wants to offer that up) afterwards for the announcement of winners and a nice celebration.
the kitten is promised to be fun, silly, short, and cute.
the cat will be a good race though.
edit: that first part probably could have been PMed. oh well.

for the kitten, for the dumbo race in NYC, they did two manifests, but that was for everyone, you could do that and have one race (short and long).
Same start and finish, just make them go seperate ways at the start.

we are doing two different manifests. we have been communicating via PM about checkpoints and how we want to run in. we're farther along than you guys probably think.
