If you guys roll up, open the door, and 15 little boys pour out with their pants around their ankles, I'm calling the police.

You have been warned.

New York Times article about fixed gear bikes... https://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/29/nyregion/thecity/29gear.html
even has a quote from my friend Kyle

This ****s getting too much exposure...I saw three high school kids on beach drive on conversions with super loose chains that looked like they had never rode fixed before.

alright, I am sending up the "Burg Bat-signal. I am dropping off my frame friday to get powdercoated, so I need someone's crank puller. I will have to take the whole thing apart tomorrow night, which hopefully I can get done, except for the cranks, and probably a chain break tool, unless I find mine (unlikely). Also, I'll find out tomorrow if the shop knows to /how to plug the headset and BB, or not, and I will somehow have to do this also, any guidance in this would be appreciated.
I'm really excited, though.

Cool, I don't get off of work in Tampa until about 5, then I have to drive home. I'll Definitely need help getting everything back on; I may need the threads chased after I pick it up from the powdercoat. Doesn't NE close at 6?

Where are you getting it powdercoated and what's it costing you? I want to have Peggy's bike refinished.

enviro coatings in Clearwater; 100 bucks for powder and the sandblasting. I have to call them this afternoon to make sure that they have the color, and ask if they have ever done a bike before.

What color? I want to do the oakley trek in a purple metal flake. Anybody know anybody with a 4 1/2" grinder that they want to get rid of?

when you say grinder, do you mean a bench grinder? I may have one to give away, or I have one to use. I also have a hand grinder.

edit:
I'm going to use pro coat in tampa; it's a little more expensive; 100 bucks for the coat, 15 bucks for the sandblast, but all of that includes a chem dip/pre coat and plugging. also, he is particulary knowlegeable about what needs to be plugged. at least I won't have to get everything worked on again after it's coated.

edit again:
they're not taking it till monday, so don't worry about it fot tonight, Corey. I will have to get it nailed down this weekend, though.

Cool color...

No, I mean a hand held angle grinder. Doesn't nessesarily have to be 4 1/2" but the big 9" jobs are annoying to me. Could I borrow it for a few days? We can work out some sort of barter deal if you like.

Yes, you can borrow it. I am not using it at the moment, but I kill people that don't return my tools.

You're the best. Bring it to the shop when you take your bike in to see Dr. Corey and I'll come by and pick it up.

Damn straight. Sorry The Hubb forced me to suck down so much free brew (thanks Todd), didn't mean for it to cut in to our riding time. I'm just going to blame Jamey. Just because.

Just finished watching the Fixed Fight footage Jamey took... Great job Jamey! Some of the audio is hilarious. You tryingto explain the race to some tourist riding by was awesome...lol. It was painful watching the awards section...like watching golf. I'll have to figure a better way to do that next time. Anyway, I'll get this up this weekend.

I watched the BroBowl footage Jamey took Wednesday night as well. All I can say is that being there was way better than seeing us there. I'll try to put the best of what was captured up soon.

Thanks again Jamey. I should have all this back to you in a couple days.
