I park my bike behind City Hall, and today there is something going on there and there are a HUGE amount of cops. So I walked by one and asked if they were all waiting for some cyclist to stop on a yellow.

Thankfully he noticed my smile before he tazzered me.

Am I the only one who went to the Cervelo site to see if there were any good jobs available? :D

haha! woo cheap feels! i don't blame you for that being your new favourite, even though the grandma was a pretty badass lady.

Likely worried about cameras at this point.

Sometimes I say stuff like that without much thought, thinking "man that's funny" but it doesn't always work out that way.

pfft. I've been trying to get a job there since '03 without success. They obviously don't recognize talent when they see it!

Yay for the third smog day in a row!

Mine can ring, be silent or vibrate too (and I call myself), but my old phone did one ring (brrrrrring) then stopped. The new one just keeps ringing, which is pretty annoying for a cell. I know the damn phone is ringing, I don't need (and no else does either) to keep hearing the ring.

It was a neat encounter all round. I got introduced to the whole family, we talked bikes for a bit and off they went. Nice people and it gives me some hope for the future instead of reading about the road rage BS.

I'm also heading over to BikePirates today to drop off some parts if anyone's interested in hooking up at IDeal.

So, who makes a low hole-count aluminum rim that's not garbage ... and is actually available? I'm thinking 20/16 holes.

Edit: Apparently Alex makes one (?!) and Velocity could probably be talked into providing something.

i'm probably going to be heading out to climb a few hills and spin around later on, in an hour or so...

iherald 05-10-07 08:30 AM

The stock wheels on my Eros are low hole-count Alex rims (16 front/20 rear). They stay reasonably true for a cheap wheelset, but I only weigh about 145#.

cavit8 05-10-07 08:34 AM

I'll probably be by IDeal around 1 or so.

jeremywhitehorn 05-10-07 08:36 AM

any of you guys have a set of track bars you don't want and want to trade for soma major taylors? i'm really after the other track drops they offer; the major taylors are a little too much drop for me.

I have the B123 steel bars 39cm width I plan on selling, but I don't want to trade as I am getting aluminum B125 bars.
