It's on my work bike at the moment, but you could borrow it for a week or so. I do need it back at some point. If you borrow it the only condition is that if it gets ripped off, you'd replace it (or some compensation, given the hub is pretty beat up).

Wow, that would be great.. stiff is okay, as long as it's not gonna explode on me. Is the hub spaced out for 126 mm?

Any idea when/where would be a good time? I'm down at U of T, right across the street from bikechain..

Hmmm. I'll let you know. I'm up at ICES at Eglinton and Bayview as of tomorrow, but I may be able to squeek some time to swing down during the week. An after hours drop would likely be easiest for me.

bike polo.. so fun.. I have the scrapes and bruises to prove it (and I won my first tournament :P).

sweep242 05-13-07 07:32 PM

Hope you got some pics to prove it. The whole thing sounded like fun. I did a day of yard work fun.
*I got two of your recommended suggestions lcd & new saves the day.

Great bike day today... wish I could have made it to the island but I did manage a ride in the Don and even managed to get a first coat of paint on my project bike.

Brad was right about that loop off of Taylor Creek parking lot is damn fun.

I'd say it worked better than my road bike! Goddamn what an awesome day.

somnambulant 05-13-07 07:58 PM

so f'ing good.. totally worth the scrapes, bruises and sunburn. :P

Yay Summer! And it's only May!

I stripped my khs down to individual pieces today, cleaned everything with degreaser, applied liberal amounts of phil grease to pretty much everything and reassembled. I also put clear enamel over all the paint chips and rewrapped the frame with black electrical tape. I just need new bar tape and that bike will be looking good. Hopefully that damn creak will be gone otherwise I'm going to go crazy.

I also have an entire new drivetrain for my touring bike sitting in a box here. XTR 12-34 cassette, Deore LX 26-34-48 crank, Deore XT RD, Deore LX FD, Ultegra chain. I just need to wait until an order I made comes in to broadway cycles (rear brake to replace my broken one, and a riser stem) and then I'm gonna bring everything down to cavern for a little TLC.

Bike Polo = fun.

Our team was first loser. Wicked final game though, alternating lead 'til the end.

Great day!

Pics are coming, I'll post them on my Flickr account (see signature/link). This may take a bit - I took 300 photos.

Aside from sunburned lips, a great day at the Island again.

Here's the Hasselhoff video I was talking about today. Hooked on a feeling. Absolute crap, but so, so funny it's worth watching the whole thing. Especially about 1:45 in with the motorcyle and wierd sandcreature thing. Wicked. Remeber don't Hassel the Hoff.

Edit, This one is even better

Well, you're doing me the big favour, so whatever's easiest for you works fine for me.

My hoff quota has been exceeded by three this week. I prefer a Kevin Koffner instead of a Hoffee.

shapelike 05-14-07 07:58 AM

On a side note, drop it hot like jelly rolls.

Anyone know the guy who used to/is still Knifehandchop?

shapelike 05-14-07 08:00 AM

... and the bike polo series looked awesome. Half a month more and I get a weekend day off every week - woo!

cavernmech 05-14-07 08:02 AM

Another perfect day for Mountain Bike Racing. I managed to stay in the top 10 which keeps me happy...at least till next race. Bradyn killed it again. Moved up to the next category which is substantially more competitive. Rocked a 4th place....40secs or so out of a podium and 2 minutes back of the win. He is a natural.
Oh yeah.....I got smoked by 13yr old Emily...one of my team-mates....who started 4 minutes behind me...Good Times!
