somnambulant 05-11-07 02:18 PM

I'm not totally sure if I'll have time to swing by the shop today as I have to go to Cycle Therapy and try and suck my way into a quick tune up. :P

Shiznaz 05-11-07 02:24 PM

Keith, done, but know I will use this as an opportunity to ask when I can bring in my cross bike for a touring overhaul. The line at the lcbo is going to be NASTY

Once you stop being forced to be such a huge consumer, you find you don't actually need all that much space. As long as a unit has lots of natural light I don't mind if its small. Then you just surround yourself with really nice stuff in small amounts. Thats why stuff in japan is really small and high quality.

Yeah, that studio was f'ing awesome. And it's a rental too, which is even crazier I think (to do all that work in a rental unit). Dude custom designed all the kitchen storage in a CAD application based on each section's typical contents. Can you say "obsessive compulsive disorder?" :)

I don't think it's normal to have storage that is designed precisely around specific packaging sizes.

The shape of the rear chainstay makes me think it's an oxford chainless. You can get them at Bicycles@St-Clair (http://www.oxfordchainless.com/). I don't see a cable to suggest a rear internal hub, so it may be fixed or at least ss.

that was a ****ign awesome safety m33ting k thx

also: bicycles.

There is a Toronto trick and it happened on my street a couple years back. You need to hunt down an old and aging "ontario cottage". you basically find a crappy old detached bungalow on a decent lot, rip it down, and build a brand new semi. For the cost of building a new house you are actually building 2. Live in one and sell the other side and you've covered the cost of building the house. If yer really good you'll even be able to take a dent out of the original purchase price...

Yes risky but if yer savvy you could be in a good spot.

Don't the cops have bigger things to worry about at 1 am Friday night? I was out and saw all sorts of shiit going on and there were no cops around at all. I even had a drunken ****** collapse on top of me at Gazzelle; busting cyclists, that's crazy.

shapelike 05-12-07 05:48 AM

Damn, gboy, you're having a tough time w/ the bike lately.
