Hey operator, I remember that you are involved with Bikechain, do you guys take donations? I have two old Supercycle mountain bike frames here but I have no use for them. They are in okayish shape and they can probably be used by someone, just not me.

*cough* :p though I'm trying to switch my day to make the ride (assuming I can climb and get down the tower fast enough to make the meet up).

I added the extra km's because I always prefer to ride to a start point rather than mix it up.. I rode to St. Catherines to do the Pedal 100 ride, for example :p

Yeah they need parts and bikes. I was talking to "the" guy (John?) on the subway today on the way back from York.

I feel inspired to go to great lengths, including time travel if necessary to kick Mr. Ambrosio in the balls. Is there a Mr. Ambrosio? I want to personally 'thank' him for making the rims that take the award for toughest to put a ****ing tire on. I am selling these wheels very soon. I have ****ing had it. I even tried to buy tires based on how easy they would be to put on and it is still ridiculous. Folding tires are actually easier to put on believe it or not. $#%&#%^!!!!!!!

The depot is in the United Church on Queen near Bathurst (where artisans sell pottery on the sidewalk). I don't know any other details, operating hours etc. He mentioned that this spot needs them more than Bike pirates right now.

Thanks. I had dropped a couple of frames off to Bike Pirates over the summer but wondered about the legality of their operation. What do they do? Build up bikes and sell them or do they make bikes and donate them to charity?

if you check out forks of the credit/belfountain, make sure to take a walk over the railway trestle...there is a cool little platform for a rest and any other indulgences.

hockley valley/mono cliffs is fun and rolling...it also has "peter cellar`s pub/mono cliffs inn" which is a nice stop for a pint and food. of course, i am not going, though...

Oh carp.. a pub break would be awesomer.

I_bRAD 10-17-07 06:27 AM

I'm thinking I'd like to do that badlands run either way. Easy like, like over a whole day 18-20kms/hr average with lots of rest/scenery/smoke/booze breaks. I might keep riding home at the end and make it a century. Anyone else coming? Assuming the weather doesn't suck, of course.

Also: Milk with fiber. WTF.

nerdsgirth 10-17-07 07:16 AM

Dan and I are planning on going to MTL:

As to whether we race, that is a different story. Les glorieux are playing the Leafs. Anyone else interested in making a caravan?

somnambulant 10-17-07 07:21 AM

Scheiße! That sounds like a blast, but I'm supposed to be going to Buffalo/Niagara/etc with the missus. :S
